Khvanchkara

Semi-sweet red wine is made from autochthonous grapes of Mujuretuli and Alexandrouli, grown in the Kvanchkara micro-zone (Racha-Lechkhumi). The productivity of the vineyards of the village Khvanchkara does not exceed 7 tons/ha. The wine is produced in a traditional way: after 5-7 days of maceration, when the desired level of residual sugar is reached, the fermentation process is stopped by cooling and filtering the wine, thereby maintaining natural sweetness and freshness. It is perfectly combined with spicy meat dishes, spicy cheese and chocolate cakes.
